Are you a caring, patient, and proactive individual with a passion for supporting learners with complex needs?
Heart Teaching is excited to recruit a compassionate and reliable SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming specialist school in Tonbridge this September. You’ll be supporting children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) in a meaningful, long-term role that makes a real impact.
✨ Your Role Will Include:

Supporting students 1:1 and in small groups with communication, sensory, and physical needs

Collaborating with teachers and therapists to deliver individualised learning plans

Using communication aids such as PECS, Makaton, and sensory-based strategies

Assisting with personal care tasks when required

Promoting independence, emotional regulation, and positive behaviour

Helping to create a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment
✅ We’re Looking For Someone Who:

Has experience supporting individuals with ASD and/or PMLD (ideal, but not essential)

Is calm, patient, and resilient in the face of challenges

Communicates well and works effectively as part of a team

Is committed to helping all learners thrive and succeed

Is willing to assist with personal care (full training provided)

Can work Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm, during term time
