About the Role:

Heart Teaching is looking for an enthusiastic SEMH Teaching Assistant to support primary school-aged children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in a supportive and dynamic SEN school. In this fulfilling role, you will help children overcome challenges and develop their emotional, social, and academic skills. 🌈

You’ll collaborate closely with teachers and SEMH professionals to ensure that each child’s learning and well-being are supported in a nurturing environment. 🤝

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and 2:1 support to children with SEMH needs 💬

• Adapt and differentiate the curriculum to meet individual needs 📚

• Assist children with behavioural, emotional, and social challenges 🌟

• Support children in achieving their full potential in a positive, inclusive setting 🎯

• Work alongside a team of professionals to deliver holistic support 🤗

• Maintain records of progress and help with safeguarding concerns 🛡️

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience working with children with SEMH or special educational needs is ideal 👩‍🏫

• Excellent communication and behaviour management skills 🗣️

• Compassionate, patient, and resilient attitude 🌸

• Ability to work as part of a team in a supportive, nurturing environment 🤝

• A strong commitment to making a difference in the lives of children with SEMH 💙

Requirements:

• Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to apply for one) 🛂

• Right to work in the UK 🏠

• Two professional references from the last 2 years 📑

• Willingness to complete safeguarding training and other required checks ✅
