About the Role:
Heart Teaching is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced English Teacher to join a welcoming and dynamic secondary school in Sevenoaks. As an English Teacher, you’ll play a key role in helping students develop strong literacy skills and a love for reading, writing, and critical thinking ✨📚.

Key Responsibilities:
🔹 Deliver engaging English lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, encouraging critical thinking and creativity ✍️.
🔹 Create and implement differentiated lesson plans tailored to the diverse needs of students 📘.
🔹 Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to students, parents, and the wider school community 📊.
🔹 Support students’ literacy development, helping them to strengthen their reading, writing, and communication skills 📖.
🔹 Collaborate with fellow teachers to create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment 👥.
🔹 Build positive relationships with students, fostering a safe and respectful atmosphere for learning 💬.
🔹 Participate in departmental meetings, sharing best practices and contributing to the development of the English curriculum 🎓.
🔹 Ensure safeguarding and well-being of all students by maintaining high standards of professional practice 🛡️.
Requirements:
✔️ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
✔️ Proven experience in teaching English at secondary school level, preferably at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
✔️ Strong knowledge of the English curriculum, with the ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities 📚.
✔️ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with students, parents, and colleagues 🤝.
✔️ A passion for literature, language, and teaching, with a commitment to making a difference in students’ lives 🌱.
✔️ Ability to differentiate teaching and create inclusive learning experiences for all students 💡.
✔️ Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one) 🛡️.
