Key Responsibilities:
🔹 Plan and deliver engaging and informative science lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 🧬.
🔹 Develop and implement creative lesson plans that engage students and encourage curiosity and problem-solving 🧑🔬.
🔹 Foster a deep understanding of scientific principles, from biology to physics and chemistry, ensuring that students excel in exams and assessments 🏆.
🔹 Utilize hands-on experiments and practical activities to support the theoretical aspects of learning and make science come to life 🔬.
🔹 Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback, helping students understand their strengths and areas for improvement 📊.
🔹 Collaborate with colleagues in the science department to share best practices and create innovative resources 📚.
🔹 Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment, ensuring all students feel encouraged and empowered to succeed 🔒.
🔹 Support students in building their critical thinking, analytical, and practical skills to prepare them for further education or careers in science 🌍.
Requirements:
✔️ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification in teaching 🏫.
✔️ Experience in teaching science at secondary school level (KS3 and KS4) 🌟.
✔️ Solid understanding of the science curriculum and the ability to differentiate for students of various abilities 🔬.
✔️ Strong communication skills, with the ability to motivate and engage students through diverse teaching methods 💬.
✔️ A passion for science and a commitment to helping students gain a love for learning and discovery 🔍.
✔️ Classroom management skills to maintain a positive and focused learning environment 📏.
✔️ Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one) 🛡️.
