About the Role:

In this role, you’ll be supporting students with physical disabilities, learning difficulties, and communication barriers, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their full potential. If you’re compassionate, adaptable, and motivated to make a difference, we’d love to hear from you! 🌈
Key Responsibilities:
🔹 Support students with a range of special educational needs, including physical disabilities, learning difficulties, and communication barriers 🤝.
🔹 Provide one-on-one or small group support in the classroom and outdoor settings 🏫.
🔹 Assist with personal care needs, such as feeding, toileting, and mobility support where required 👶.
🔹 Implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) to meet each student’s specific needs, working closely with teachers and other professionals 📚.
🔹 Foster independence in students, promoting self-confidence and encouraging positive behaviors 💪.
🔹 Assist with communication support, using techniques such as sign language or visual aids 🌈.
🔹 Track and monitor students’ progress, keeping detailed records and providing feedback to teachers 📊.
🔹 Collaborate with staff, parents, and external professionals to ensure the holistic development of each child 📞.
🔹 Support the teacher with behavior management and help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment ✏️.
Requirements:
✔️ Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN), either in educational or care settings 🌟.
✔️ Strong communication skills and the ability to engage students with diverse learning needs 💬.
✔️ Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students overcome their challenges 💖.
✔️ Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team 🏫.
✔️ Flexible and proactive approach to meet the individual needs of students 🌱.
✔️ Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one) 🛡️.
✔️ Experience working with specific SEN types (e.g. ASD, ADHD, physical disabilities) is beneficial, but not required 🌈.
