Salary: £12.80 to £13.80 per hour (depending on qualifications and experience)

About the Role:
Heart Teaching is partnering with a specialist school in the Swanley area that is looking for a Teaching Assistant (SEN) to join their compassionate and supportive team. The school is dedicated to providing a nurturing environment that supports the social, emotional, and academic development of children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). Key Responsibilities:
✅ Support and encourage children with autism to develop academically, socially, and emotionally
✅ Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual learning plans
✅ Foster a positive and inclusive environment where all children feel valued and safe
✅ Assist with managing behaviour using a calm and nurturing approach
✅ Support children in developing life skills to enhance their independence
The Ideal Candidate Will:
✔️ Be warm, kind, and patient
✔️ Have an understanding of Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
✔️ Demonstrate a nurturing and supportive approach
✔️ Possess strong behaviour management skills
✔️ Be a team player with excellent communication skills
Requirements:
📚 An enhanced DBS certificate on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
🌍 Right to Work in the UK
📞 Ability to provide two references within the last 2 years
