Salary: £30,000 – £46,500 pulse SEN allowance (dependent on experience)

About the Role:
Heart Teaching is looking for a passionate and experienced SEN Teacher to join an inspiring and dynamic team at an SEN school in Maidstone. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality education to students with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), learning disabilities, and complex needs.
If you are a dedicated teacher with experience in SEN, this is your chance to make a real difference in the lives of children. You’ll help shape students’ educational experiences by providing tailored, high-impact teaching that supports their development both academically and socially 🌟.
Key Responsibilities:
🔹 Plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the needs of students with various SEN.
🔹 Monitor student progress and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to track and support their development 📊.
🔹 Work closely with other staff members including teaching assistants, speech therapists, and occupational therapists to provide integrated support 🤝.
🔹 Promote student independence, self-confidence, and social integration, helping them achieve personal and academic success 🏆.
🔹 Adapt teaching methods and resources to suit diverse learning needs and abilities 💡.
🔹 Maintain open communication with parents and carers, providing regular updates on student progress 💬.
🔹 Ensure a safe and supportive classroom environment, fostering respect and collaboration among students 🌱.
🔹 Keep accurate records of progress, behavior, and achievements 📝.
Requirements:
✔️ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
✔️ Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ideally in an SEN or mainstream school setting 🏫.
✔️ Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other professionals 🤗.
✔️ Ability to differentiate teaching and create individualized learning plans for each student 📚.
✔️ A commitment to professional development and staying up-to-date with the latest practices in SEN education 🌟.
✔️ Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one) 🛡️.
