As an English Teacher, you will have the chance to engage students in thought-provoking lessons and foster their creativity, critical thinking, and literacy skills 🌟.
Key Responsibilities:
🔹 Plan and deliver engaging English lessons that inspire students and foster their love for literature, language, and writing ✍️.
🔹 Develop and implement differentiated lesson plans to cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities, ensuring all students are supported to achieve their full potential 📚.
🔹 Assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and identifying areas for improvement 📝.
🔹 Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment, encouraging students to express their ideas and opinions with confidence 💬.
🔹 Work closely with colleagues to implement cross-curricular strategies and share best practices 👥.
🔹 Maintain clear and accurate records of student progress and behaviour, and communicate regularly with parents and carers regarding their child’s development 📊.
🔹 Support students’ personal and academic growth, encouraging critical thinking, creativity, and self-reflection 🧠.
🔹 Contribute to the wider school community by participating in extra-curricular activities and school events 🌱.
Requirements:
✔️ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
✔️ Experience teaching English at secondary school level (KS3 and KS4).
✔️ Strong knowledge of the English curriculum and ability to deliver engaging lessons that inspire students 💡.
✔️ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents 🤝.
✔️ A passion for literature, language, and inspiring students to develop their skills 🧑🎓.
✔️ Ability to differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all students, including those with additional learning needs 🌈.
✔️ Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one) 🛡️.
