About the Role:
Heart Teaching is looking for a passionate and experienced Math Teacher to join a dynamic secondary school in Tonbridge. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire students and foster a love for mathematics while delivering engaging lessons that develop students’ skills in problem-solving, logical thinking, and numeracy 🔢📐.
You will work with students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, helping them reach their full potential and gain confidence in their math abilities 🌱.
Key Responsibilities:
🔹 Deliver engaging math lessons that stimulate and challenge students in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 ✏️.
🔹 Differentiate lesson content to meet the needs of all students, providing tailored support for varying levels of ability 📊.
🔹 Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to both students and parents 📚.
🔹 Encourage critical thinking and problem-solving skills through interactive activities and real-world math applications 🤔.
🔹 Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the teaching and learning experience within the math department 👥.
🔹 Support students’ academic and personal development, fostering their confidence and enthusiasm for learning 🏆.
🔹 Create and maintain a safe and supportive classroom environment where students feel respected and motivated to learn 💬.
🔹 Participate in departmental and school-wide meetings, contributing ideas for curriculum development and best practices 📝.
Requirements:
✔️ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
✔️ Experience in teaching mathematics at secondary school level, particularly Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 📚.
✔️ Strong understanding of the national curriculum and the ability to teach mathematics in an engaging and accessible way 📐.
✔️ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff 🤝.
✔️ Passion for mathematics and helping students develop their mathematical understanding and problem-solving skills 🔢.
✔️ Ability to differentiate lessons for a range of abilities, ensuring all students can access the curriculum 🌱.
✔️ Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one) 🛡️.
