About the Role:
Heart Teaching is seeking a committed and inspirational SEN Teacher to join a thriving specialist school in Maidstone. You’ll be part of a passionate team dedicated to delivering meaningful learning experiences for pupils with autism, learning difficulties, and complex developmental needs.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher looking to bring energy, patience, and creativity into the classroom to help every learner reach their full potential.


🌈 Key Responsibilities:

  • 📚 Plan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons tailored to a wide range of SEN learners

  • 🧩 Support individual development through the use of clear IEPs and differentiated resources

  • 👥 Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and external agencies

  • 🎯 Encourage independence and confidence, helping pupils thrive academically and socially

  • 🛠️ Use adaptive teaching strategies to support varying learning styles and abilities

  • 🏫 Maintain a safe and positive classroom that nurtures student well-being and inclusion

  • 📝 Track progress and provide regular feedback to parents, carers, and the wider team


✔️ What We’re Looking For:

  • ✅ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • ✅ Prior experience teaching in an SEN setting or working with students with additional needs

  • ✅ Confident in creating engaging, differentiated lessons for students with complex profiles

  • ✅ Effective communicator and team player

  • ✅ Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check
