Heart Teaching is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Tonbridge, supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD).

This is a full-time, term-time only role—perfect for someone eager to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with complex needs.

🧩 What You’ll Be Doing:

• Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with sensory, communication, and physical needs

• Assisting in the delivery of personalised learning plans alongside teachers and therapists

• Using specialist communication tools like PECS, Makaton, and sensory-based strategies

• Supporting pupils with personal care needs (full training provided)

• Promoting independence, life skills, and positive behaviour

• Helping create a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

✅ What We’re Looking For:

• Experience working with children or young people with ASD and/or PMLD (desirable, not essential)

• A calm, patient, and resilient approach to behaviour and communication challenges

• Excellent teamwork and communication skills

• A genuine commitment to helping every learner achieve their potential

• Willingness to support with personal care and physical needs

• Availability Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm during term time
