Heart Teaching is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a caring and proactive ASD Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant specialist school in Tonbridge this September.

This rewarding role involves supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) across a range of needs, helping them thrive both academically and emotionally in a structured, nurturing environment. 🌈

🧩 Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with ASD

• Assisting with communication development using tools like PECS, Makaton, and visual schedules

• Collaborating with teachers and therapists to deliver personalised learning plans 📚

• Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies 🧠

• Creating an inclusive, calm, and encouraging classroom atmosphere

• Assisting with personal care if required (training provided) 🚿

✅ We’re Looking For Someone Who Is:

• Experienced (or eager to gain experience) in supporting children with Autism

• Patient, empathetic, and calm when supporting behavioural needs 🌱

• Comfortable working as part of a collaborative school team

• Committed to making learning accessible for all pupils

• Available Monday–Friday during term time (8:30am–3:30pm)
