In the heart of Longfield, a supportive Secondary School is looking to appoint an Design and Technology Teacher for a June2022 start. This is a part-time, and permanent post.

As a design and technology teacher, you’d encourage, motivate and inspire your students to design and make objects that have a practical use, using a variety of techniques. Design and technology is a broad subject covering topics such as craft skills, use of tools, graphic communication, computer-aided design and mechanical systems.

The Head Teacher prides themselves on enabling their students to develop strength of character, to be articulate and confident, and secure the best academic outcomes possible.

Person Specifications – Design and Technology Teacher

·         A qualified DT Teacher with a formal teaching qualification (QTS)

·         Permanent DT Teacher role – MPS/UPS £25,714-£41,604

·         Confident teaching DT at Key Stage 4 to a range of abilities

·         A passion for your subject and education in general

·         Excellent interpersonal skills and a proactive approach

·         A desire to work as a team with the rest of the department and the school

School:

· Mixed – pupils – 11-19yrs
